Recovery and performance research examines how biological systems respond to physical stress and adapt to repeated exercise or workload. Areas of investigation include muscle recovery, connective-tissue remodelling, inflammation, energy production, cardiovascular adaptation, mitochondrial function and endocrine signalling.
